ACCREDITATION GUIDELINES

 

 

1. INTRODUCTORY 

 

A precondition of accreditation for the festival and registration for the Masterclasses, or ONSeries Forum & Family program is the accredited person’s agreement to our participation guidelines. Every breach of the conditions of participation as well as any disregard for security regulations can result in the withdrawal of accreditation and immediate exclusion from all events by the organiser. The organiser reserves the right to assert additional rights.

2. BADGES

Festival Accreditation is linked to individual persons and non-transferable. It allows access to certain areas and screenings at the Berlin Series Festival. Over the entire duration of the Festival,  an accreditation/badge is required to access the festival areas. Persons without an accreditation/badge can be refused entry by security personnel. or management.

 

Accreditation/badge used by people other than the accreditation/registration holder will be confiscated.

Loss or theft of Press/Festival Accreditation/badges must be reported to the respective accreditation counter. The issuance of a new Press, Festival Accreditation/badge will result in additional costs. The organisers reserve the right to not issue a replacement Accreditation /badge. The Day Pass & Visitor/Guest Pass are non-replaceable.

3. PAYMENT, CANCELLATION AND PICK-UP

Festival Accreditations/badges can be paid for in advance online by credit cards or via PayPal. Upon request, companies and institutions can make collective payments for their employees/representatives via bank transfer for certain events or educational programs.

Refunds of accreditation fees that have already been paid are only possible after cancellation in writing within the specified period.

Festival Accreditation/badges are handed out at the Accreditation Counters upon presentation of valid personal identification and confirmation of accreditation.

Festival Accreditation/badges can only be picked up by persons other than the applicant upon presentation of written authorisation.

4. FILM & SOUND RECORDINGS/ PHONE OR CAMERA

Film and sound recordings of any kind by festival guests at the festival and forum screenings are not permitted. Any infringement can lead to civil and criminal legal action and will result in the visitor being asked to leave the venue.

Film, digital, video or sound recordings that contain any content of a festival screening as well as the recording device containing them can be confiscated. The devices can be returned upon the condition that the owner agrees to delete the recordings beforehand. In light of the necessity to protect from piracy, every participant ensures that he or she will not steal intellectual property, in accordance with copyright laws and with respect to the resultant rights.

If authorized persons record images and / or sound during a public screening, attendees comply with their possible inclusion in an image and/or sound recording and that these recordings may be broadcast or transmitted to third parties for the purpose of publication without any claim to remuneration.

5. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Furthermore, the general terms and conditions of TV SERIES FESTIVAL / markdreesen Entertainment UG  are applicable. In case of contradiction between the above participation guidelines and the general terms and conditions, the former take precedence.

5.1 Schedule & Starting Times, Schedule Changes

Valid programmes and starting times as well as opening hours of exhibitions, masterclasses, or our forum may be found in official TV SERIES FESTIVAL publications. TV SERIES FESTIVAL reserves the right to alter programmes and teachers, casts, speakers and lecturers. No responsibility is taken for the correctness of information regarding teachers, casts , speakers, lecturers or times.

5.2 Ticket Sale

TV SERIES FESTIVAL will publish the valid entrance fees and announce them in the online-ticket shop. By pressing the button “Register Now” to complete the order and purchase a ticket in the online- ticket shop of the Berlin TV SERIES FESTIVAL, a binding offer to conclude the purchase contract is made. The purchaser subsequently receives a confirmation of the purchase by email. Payment takes place by credit card or via PayPal. The ticket/badge purchased online can be collected at the ticket counter June 23rd, 2021.

5.3 Ticket Refunds & Right of Revocation

In general purchased tickets may not be returned, this also applies in the event of alterations to the teacher or lecturer of a class, or different speakers. If an event or masterclass is cancelled tickets may be returned and refunded within 5 (five) to 6 (six) weeks. 

 

If TV SERIES FESTIVAL/markdreesen Entertainment UG has not caused the cancellation of the event, masterclasses, screenings, or exhibition by intent or gross negligence, the visitor cannot claim further expenses, damages, and the online ticket fee.

If the tickets were purchased online, only the price for the tickets will be refunded excluding the processing fee of 75,00€.

As a Consumer (Sec. 13 BGB [German Civil Code]) you have the right to revoke contracts to supply vouchers and goods which are concluded via our webshop within fourteen days, without giving any reason. The 14-day revocation period begins on the day on which these goods/e-ticket(s) are received by you, or by a third person named by you, other than the carrier. In order to exercise your right to revoke, you must notify us:

of your decision to revoke the contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. by letter via postal mail or eMail). To keep within the revocation period, it is sufficient if you send your notification of exercising your right to revoke before the revocation period ends.

If you revoke a contract, we have to refund any payments (excluding the above mentioned operation fee) we have received from you. This can take up to thirty - forty days after the day on which we receive notification of your revocation of this contract. To make the refund, we use the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless explicitly agreed otherwise with you. We may find other solutions and agreements regarding your ticket refund in case of re-scheduling the event, class or digital programs, shall the customer decide to hold on to their ticket/badge for the next season.

ABOUT PETER RUSSELL

Peter Russell started as a story analyst in the 1990s, and has read over 3,000+ screenplays for major film and television giants including Imagine Entertainment, Participant Productions, HBO, CBS, Walden Entertainment. He consulted on many current TV shows, including GENIUS (National Geographic series 2017-present) MR. ROBOT (Emmy for Best New Television Drama 2015), Chronicles Of Narnia (Lion, Witch & Wardrobe), The Da Vinci Code (Imagine Films) and many others. Clients include Hal Ozsan (Black List, Sons of Anarchy, What

Would Diplo Do?), Peter Cillela (Resolution, The Endlass, Occupant), Tate Hanyok (The Office, Community, Transparent, Shameless) and many more.
